US rapper has praised Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor for making music “from the heart.”

West's comments about Reznor came during his headlining appearance at the Virgin Mobile Festival in Baltimore last Sunday (August 10th).

As with the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago the weekend before, West and Nine Inch Nails were both scheduled at the same time on different stages at the event.

West told the crowd in Baltimore that he wasn't concerned, however.

"It's not a black-or-white thing, it's not a rap-or-rock-and-roll thing. It's a good-music thing,” he said. “We jam about good things from the heart. How can you pick between me and Trent Reznor?"
