Democrat Barack Obama has turned to video games to shore up support ahead of the US presidential elections next month.
Mr Obama has begun promoting early voting in adverts in 18 games, including Guitar Hero and Madden 09.
The adverts target gamers in the ten states that allow voting to take place before November 4th. Florida and Ohio, two key swing states and potential keys to the White House, are included in the ten.
The adverts, which are controlled by the games creators and updated when a console logs onto the internet, guide users to one of Mr Obama's campaign websites.
A spokeswoman for Electronic Arts (EA) said they will target a typically male audience of 18-34.
"Like most television, radio and print outlets, we accept advertising from credible political candidates,” she told the BBC.
“These ads do not reflect the political policies of EA or the opinions of its development teams."
The adverts will continue to run in the video games until election day.
