The Who's Roger Daltrey says he wants to record an album with Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page.
The 65-year-old singer said he loves the idea of forming a supergroup and would ideally like to sing blues music.
“I’d love to do something, I’d love to do an album with Jimmy Page,” he told BBC6music's Sean Keaveny. “He needs a singer to drive him. I’m a great blues singer.
“I don’t sing the blues with The Who, but that’s what I used to be before Townshend started writing. I used to be a great blues singer.”
Daltrey's Teenage Cancer Trust series kicked off last Wednesday with Depeche Mode's triumphant show. It re-starts next month with the following shows:
Them Crooked Vultures - March 22
Jimmy Carr, Noel Fielding and Rod Gilbert – 23
Suede – 24
Noel Gallagher – 25/26
Arctic Monkeys - 27
JLS – 28
The Specials – 29
The Who - 30
