The Cribs Begin Work On 'Different' Fifth Album Add to My Fav Bands List

The Cribs have begun recording on their fifth album, which guitarist Johnny Marr has said is “quite different”.

The group have started work on the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Ignore The Ignorant’ ahead of the start of the summer festival season.

"The new stuff, particularly that Ryan [Jarman’s] coming up with is quite different. He'll kill me if I tell you," Marr told BBC 6 Music.

"Well, Ryan's been playing some keyboards and he's got very inspired by it so it still sounds like the band and his lyrics are always really interesting.

Marr, a former member of The Smiths, added that he was “excited” about the new album.
