Los Campesinos: 'David Beckham Will Be A Great England Cheerleader'

Los Campesinos! have said they believe England will miss David Beckham at the World Cup, which gets under way today (June 11).

Lead guitarist Tom told Gigwise that Beckham’s experience would be a notable absence on the pitch in South Africa.

The footballer was forced to pull out of the tournament due to injury, but has still travelled with the squad.

In an extended interview with Gigwise, Tom said: “Even when he’s only making small cameos as an impact sub, [Beckham’s] distribution and crossing is always effective, and I’m sure his experience would’ve been useful. 

“He’ll make a great cheerleader though.”

England begin their 2010 World Cup campaign tomorrow (June 12) against the USA.
