Lionel Messi: 'Argentina World Cup Team Want Oasis To Reform' Add to My Fav Bands List

Argentina striker Lionel Messi has revealed that he is a big fan of Oasis and wants the band to play a victory party if his country win the World Cup.

The striker said his favourite songs were 'Supersonic' and 'Live Forever', and that he had been playing them to the rest of the squad.

Messi was first turned onto the group, who split last year, by team mate and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

“I have to say I wasn't expecting much but it is some of the best material I have ever heard,” he said. “They are absolutely amazing.”

Messi went on to reveal that he wanted Oasis to reform and perform if Argentina win the World Cup in South Africa.

"We have agreed that if we win the World Cup we want to fly them over to Argentina for our celebration party,” he told The Sun.

"We just need them to name their price."

Oasis' Liam and Noel Gallagher are both big football followers and life-long Manchester City supporters.
