The Kinks original bassist Pete Quaife has died at the age of 66.
Quaife passed away yesterday (June 24), although the cause of death is not clear.
The musician had been undergoing kidney dialysis for over a decade after suffering renal failure in 1998.
As one of the band's founding members, the bassist played on such songs as 'Dedicated Follower Of Fashion' and 'You Really Got Me'.
Quaife left The Kink in 1969 over the ongoing fued between the band's brothers Ray and Dave Davies.
