Crime at this year’s Glastonbury festival is down marginally compared to 2009, organisers have said.

On Saturday morning (June 26), there had been a total of 290 crimes - down three on this time last year.

The majority of these - 156 - were related to thefts from tents.

Police have made 93 arrests, of which 77 have been for drugs possession with intent to supply.

Gigwise’s Glastonbury correspondent Charlie Ashcroft said weather conditions were warm for a second day.

The Met Office said it expected the sunshine to stay tomorrow (June 27), although there is a small chance of some showers.

Gigwise is coming live from the festival all weekend, so keep checking www.gigwise.com for the latest news, photos and interviews.

You can also follow the action on our Glastonbury page, as well as on Twitter and Facebook.

  • The crime figures surprise me, i've had two friends that have both been done whilst asleep in their tents, one was told by a police sargeant on Fri morning that over £8000 had been reported stolen on the Thursday alone
