Lil' Wayne Reveals He's Writing New Songs In Prison

Lil' Wayne has revealed that he has been writing new material while incarceratied in prison.

The rapper is currently serving a one-year term in Rikers Island jail in New York for gun possession.

In blog post from his prison cell, Lil' Wayne said he was enjoying a creative burst, but couldn't define his new songs

“So I’ve been writing and let me be the first to tell you that the lyrics that I’m writing are… well there’s no word that I can think of that properly defines them," he said.

“Amazing would be too typical and perfect would be unfair.”

The rapper also used the message to respond to fans' requests to hear what his daily routine was like in prison.

Lil' Wayne said that after waking up at 11am, his normal day included calling his children and “wonderful mother”, and reading.

He added: “Have dinner. Phone. Pushups. Then I listen to ESPN on the radio. Read the bible, then sleep. That’s my day.”
