Vampire Weekend have been sued by the model who appears on the cover of their second album ‘Contra’, it’s been reported.
The artwork for the album - released earlier this year - features a picture of Kirsten Kennis taken by photographer Tod Brody in 1983.
In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Kennis claims she didn’t sign the photographic release authorising the band to use the image.
TMZ reports that Kennis blames the band for not verifying the legitimacy of the release.
The model is suing Vampire Weekend and Brody for $2million. The band have yet to comment.
