As Harry Potter star Tom Felton signs a record deal to release his debut album, Gigwise has taken a look at a host of other actors who have launched music careers over the years.
Our countdown kicks off with perhaps the biggest movie star of the modern day, Robert Pattinson, whose music has even featured on the soundtrack to The Twilight Saga, and runs right back through the years to the likes of Scarlett Johansson, John Travolta and Steven Seagal.
There's even a nod to those actors who have made the transition successfully: see Jared Leto of 30 Seconds To Mars.

- I enjoyed this - thanks for putting it together! i didn't realize some of the actors profiled were also musicial. I did know that Rob P was, and sure wish he'd record an album. I'd like to hear some of his Van Morrison influences.
Good job, good commentary -- thanks again.
- Despite lesser and less accomplished names appearing, there seems to be no mention of either Zoey Deschanel or Steve Martin!!
- thats cool. except one thing, ROBERT PATTINSON CANT SING. AT ALL. i cant believe theyre actually releting him to people like Jared Leto...honestly.
- 30 Seconds To Mars have 3 albums, and is headlining to sold out shows these days.
- Yes, just like Candy says, 30 seconds to mars have released 3 albums, not 2.
