Katy Perry has said she has no regrets with the way she reacted to Lady Gaga's recent music video, 'Alejandro'.
The singer described the use of religious imagery and symbolism in the video as “blasphemous” when it debuted earlier this year.
Perry, whose parent's are both pastors, later insisted that she was still a fan of the star.
But in a new interview with Billboard, Perry said that she stood by her original claim.
"[Spirituality] is just important to me," she said. "The details of the importance are still to be determined, I guess.
“It's one of those things that as the older you get and the farther you try to run away from your parents, you just turn right around and they are embedded into your DNA."
Originally released in June, the video for 'Alejandro' has gone on to receive more than 50million views on YouTube.
Perry is currently promoting her new album 'Teenage Dream', which is released on August 30.
