Robyn: 'Snoop Dogg Collaboration Is Very Gangsta'

Robyn has recorded a song with rapper Snoop Dogg that will appear on her forthcoming new album.

The Swedish singer told Gigwise that the track, entitled ‘U Should Know Better', was not what fans would normally expect from the hip-hop star.

“I had this idea of a song I wanted to do and he liked it,” Robyn said.

“I brought him into my world, so I think people wouldn’t expect it from Snoop, but it’s still very gangsta and it’s definitely a song written with him in mind.”

She added: “It’s really funny, it makes him look really good.”

In an exclusive interview with Gigwise at the Osheaga festival in Montreal, Robyn praised the rapper’s music taste.

“He’s a real music lover,” she said.

“He’s really smart, and when I met him it totally makes sense why he’s been around for such a long time because he’s a smart guy - he really likes music.”

‘U Should Know Better' is one of eight tracks on Robyn’s new album ‘Body Talk Pt 2’, which is released on September 6.
