The Cribs have said they won’t be using any “cheesy” stunts when they perform at this weekend’s Reading and Leeds festivals.

The Wakefield band are set to play Leeds today (August 27) and Reading on Saturday (August 28).

Bassist Gary Jarman told Gigwise the group were still working on their set list, but didn’t plan to change their stage show too much.

“We’re just working on it at the minute - just working on getting a good set list together,” he said.

“I don’t believe in all the big show, cheesy stuff - I never have - so we won’t be brining in a big spaceship or anything like that.”

You can watch Gigwise's full interview with The Cribs on Gigwise TV on the right hand side of this page.

Meanwhile, Festival-goers have already begun arriving at both sites ahead in anticipation for the festival.

In Reading, organisers have drafted in the Environmental Agency to protect the site from flooding.

The festival, which runs until Sunday (August 29), will be headlined by Guns N' Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink-182.

Other acts on the bill include Klaxons, The Libertines, The Cribs, Paramore, Weezer and Lostprophets.

Gigwise will be coming live from both festivals throughout the weekend so stay tuned for all the latest news, gig reports and photos.
