Lady Gaga stopped two audience members from fighting at a gig in Washington DC on Tuesday (September 7).

Video footage shows the singing pausing midway through the song 'Monster' to tell the fans in the front row to “stop fighting”.

“Do not fight at this show. Is she OK? Are they both OK? I don't know who hit who,” Lady Gaga said.

“I'm sorry, I just don't want you to fight. This is all about love, not fighting – only fake monster fighting.”

The singer then launched into a monologue about her experiences at school, before continuing the concert at the Verizon Center.

The gig formed part of the latest North American leg of Lady Gaga's Monster Ball world tour, which resumes again in Philadelphia next week.
