Lady Gaga has revealed that her next studio album will be called ‘Born This Way’.
The US singer made the announcement at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in Los Angeles last night (September 12).
Appearing on stage to collect the award for Video Of The Year for ‘Bad Romance’, Lady Gaga said: "I promised that if I won this, I would announce the name of my new album.
“It's called ‘Born This Way’."
Lady Gaga had previously intended to announce more details about her follow-up to ‘The Fame’ and ‘The Fame Monster’ on New Year Eve.
In June, the said the new album would arrive early in 2011. “The message of the new music is now more bitter than it was before," she of the album’s political content.
"Because the sweeter the cake, the more bitter the jelly can be."
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga was the big winner at last night’s VMAs, taking home eight awards.

But the singer also courted controversy when she accepted an award wearing her much-talked about meat-effect dress.
