Liam Gallagher has helped fund a special expedition for war veterans to go to the Himalayas.
Falklands veteran Robert Lawrence contacted Gallagher to see if he could back the trip, which aims to rebuild ex-soldiers' strength morale.
Lawrence, a former Scots Guard and Oasis fan, lost 43 per cent of his brain and was left paralysed down one side after being shot in the head in 1982.
Gallagher told The Sun: "I find it hard enough adjusting to normal life after a tour - that's nothing compared to what these guys have to go through.
"I was more than happy to help out."
The two-week trip, which costs £75,000, is due to begin on Saturday (September 18).
