Nicki Minaj has said her fans have been “scammed” after they tried to buy tickets for two fake gigs.
The rapper was first alerted to the concerts, scheduled to take place at two US college campuses next month, via Twitter.
One fan sent an photo of a ticket queue to Minaj, to which she replied: "Wut [sic] concert? Neva heard of it. I feel so bad 4 ppl who were scammed."
The rapper later posted the name and telephone of the promoter believed to be responsible for the fake bookings.
And in another tweet, she wrote: “Our legal teams are working. There are way more schools that were scammed. We are working to put an end to this. Thank you.”
Minaj is set to release her debut album 'Pink Friday' on November 22 in the UK and the following day (23) in the US.
