Kanye West's short film Runaway is due to receive its world premiere on October 23, the rapper has announced.
The 35-minute movie will be shown on MTV, BET, MTV2, MTV.com, BET.com, and VH1.com at 8pm (EST).
Directed by Hype Williams, the movie tells the story of West's new relationship with a girl, who is a phoenix who has fallen to earth.
West said that the project should be viewed as a “modern version” of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' and 'Purple Rain' by Prince.
Meanwhile, the rapper is due to release his fifth studio album 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' on November 22.
On Monday (October 18), West revealed that the artwork for the album had been banned in the US.
