Manic Street Preachers have postponed their two gigs at London's Brixton Academy this week.
The Welsh band had been due to play the venue tonight (October 28) and tomorrow (29), but singer James Dean Bradfield is unwell.
The group were also forced to postpone a gig at Birmingham Academy on Tuesday (October 26).
“I would like to personally apologise to the fans,” Bradfield said in a statement released to Gigwise.
“Nothing makes us feel worse than having to postpone a show. We were particularly looking forward to playing two nights at Brixton as we have such special memories of previous gigs at this venue. To say we are gutted about this situation is putting it mildly.”
Bradfield has been told by doctors that he has acute laryngitis and needs to rest his voice.
The gigs at Brixton will now take place on January 21 and 22 next year. Tickets for the original shows remain valid.
