The Libertines Carl Barat will be joining Hot Hot Heat onstage at this years Glastonbury festival.

He has been asked by the Canadian band to join them onstage while they perform in Somerset.

A ‘source’ told today’s Daily Star: "Carl is in the middle of putting a band together himself, but is realistic that it won’t be ready for live dates until the autumn so jumped at the offer from Hot Hot Heat.

“He’s been a big fan of theirs for a long time and can’t wait to get out onstage with them.”

His ex-Libertines pal, Pete Doherty and his new band Babyshambles are to play Glastonbury’s Leftfield stage on the Saturday night.
