Michael Jackson’s record label has denied that the vocals on a new song by the late singer are fake.
The track, ‘Breaking News’, debuted on Jackson’s official website at the weekend.
It was recorded in 2007, but several relatives of the star, including his nephews TJ and Taryll Jackson, have claimed that the song is “fake”.
However, Sony Records said it had carried out extensive research and had “complete confidence” that ‘Breaking News’ was real.
The song is one of a number of unheard tracks set to feature on a new Michael Jackson album titled ‘Michael’.
The LP, which has been put together with the permission of Jackson’s Estate, is due out next month.
