The British Legion's '2 Minute Silence' is on course for a high chart debut on the UK singles chart.
The single was already climbing high in the iTunes chart earlier this week, ahead of Cheryl Cole, Kings of Leon and Usher.
After the two minutes silence at 11am today (November 11), a surge of the single's sales put it course for the top-20.
'2 Minute Silence' features some of the UK's best known faces including David Tennant, Plan B, Thom Yorke and Jimmy Carr.
The charity release aims to reach the number one spot for Remembrance Sunday, causing radio stations to broadcast two minutes of silence.
Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot said: "We are not aware that any track like this has ever made an impact on the Official Singles Chart before.
"But even aside from that, this will be a great achievement by the Royal British Legion - and for a great cause, of course.”
All proceeds from the sales of 'Two Minute Silence' will go towards helping members of the armed forces and their families.
