Miley Cyrus 'Bong Video' Prompts Salvia Sales Surge

Sales of the psychoactive plant Salvia have surged after Miley Cyrus was filmed allegedly ingesting the herbal drug, it’s been reported.

Video footage of the teen star with a bong surfaced online last week.

The Hannah Montana star was said to have taken the drug while she celebrated her 18th birthday with friends at her own party.

US gossip site TMZ, who broke the original story, reports that several shops in Los Angeles who sell the drug legally sold up to 3 times as much as usual over the weekend.

Many customers have apparently asked for "the stuff Miley was smoking”. The star has yet to comment on the video.

The hip-pop trio concoct the type of music that's so terrible, banging you head repetitively against a radiator would be a more pleasurable experience.
