Miley Cyrus' 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' Voted Worst Cover Of All Time

Miley Cryus' cover of Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' has been voted the 'Worst Cover Song Of All Time' in a recent poll.

The singer was slammed by fans after she performed the cover as a dedication to her brother at a gig back in April.

Cyrus told the audience: ''I have a lot of fans come up and tell me that I inspire them and make them want to follow their dreams, and so for this tour I want to be able to do the music that inspired me and made me want to be here on this stage tonight.''

''It’s hard being on the road because you miss your family back home and this song is something I always sing with my little brother…so this song is also for him.'' 

The poll carried out by Rolling Stone also listed Avril Lavigne's cover of John Lennon's Imagine' and Madonna's version of Don McLean's 'American Pie' as the 'worst of all time'.
