Bryan Ferry has revealed that he plans to tour his new solo album in 2011.
In part two of his exclusive video interview with Gigwise, Ferry said we wanted to take ‘Olympia’ on the road after his scheduled UK dates with Roxy Music in January and February.
The album, released last month, includes collaborations with Scissor Sisters, Radiohead and Groove Armada.
“My plan is to go out on some shows of the ‘Olympia’ record with some of the people that played on it, so that’s going to be good – it’s going to be a busy year,” he said.
Meanwhile, Roxy Music are due to kick off their UK tour in Newcastle on January 25 and conclude in London on February 7, before playing shows in Australia and New Zealand.
The dates will conclude a critically acclaimed comeback for the group – and Ferry admitted that the last few years had been “really good”.
“We did about twelve festival around Europe and it went really well – great audiences,” he said.
“The festival audience is always interesting because you get fans of the other bands coming as well, so you have to be on your twos, and it went incredibly well.”
