The BBC has axed its Electric Proms as part of cost-cutting measures, it's been announced.
The gigs began in 2006 and have featured performances from the likes of Oasis and Sir Paul McCartney.
BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music controller Bob Shennan said the station had to consider how to deliver “high-quality live music programming” while adopting “continuing efficiency savings”.
He added: "I feel that Radio 2 can achieve the same impact of the Electric Proms in an alternative, more cost-effective way."
The announcement comes just days after the BBC said it would be cutting around 1000 jobs across the corporation.
