The Rolling Stones Have 'No Firm Plans To Tour' Again

The Rolling Stones have announced that they currently have “no firm plans to tour” again.

It comes after a lawsuit in the US apparently revealed that the group aimed to return to the road in 2011.

Concert promoter Live Nation is suing its former chairman Michael Cohl claiming he broke the terms of an agreement after he left in 2008.

But as part of his defense, Cohl is saying that Live Nation breached the contract first when they attempted to ''interfere" and "destroy" his chance to secure promotional rights to a tour later this year.

However, in their statement, The Rolling Stones said they had become free of any contractual arrangements with Cohl after their A Bigger Bang tour ended in 2007.

“He is neither their representative nor their tour promoter,” the statement added.

The Rolling Stones recently secured a worldwide merchandising agreement with Bravado Inc and in 2008 signed a new record deal with Universal Music.
