Simon Cowell Slams Elton John Over X Factor Criticism

Simon Cowell has launched an attack against Sir Elton John after the singer criticised The X Factor.

The veteran singer has frequently admitted that he was not a fan of Cowell's programme, claiming that the music mogul was more interested in making money than finding new talent.

Responding to Sir Elton's criticisms during an appearance on The Piers Morgan Show, Cowell accused the star of being selfish.

“Well, look. This is somebody who charges what, a million dollars a private gig? Two million dollars, you know? he said.

“I don’t know whether he’s concerned about himself – maybe he is. But they always bleat on that we’re not giving other people a chance.”

He added: “They’re only worried about themselves.”

Sir Elton, who was behind the recent film Gnomeo and Juliet, has yet to respond to Cowell's comments.
