Noel Gallagher Working On New Material In Los Angeles

Noel Gallagher is in Los Angeles recording new material, it has been revealed.

According to You Me At Six singer Josh Franceschi, Gallagher is currently in a studio in Los Angeles recording new tracks.

Franceschi posted the news last night (March 23) over his Twitter: ''Can hear Noel from Oasis blasting his new tunes from the studio next door," he wrote. "Absolutely mental''

Gallagher was believed to have started laying down demos for the album last month, which will be his first release since Oasis split in 2009.

But in an interview with talkSPORT, the guitarist said work had yet to get under way and that the album would not be out anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Primal Scream, Beady Eye and Paul Weller are among the acts set to play a one-off London gig in aid of the recent tsunami and earthquakes in Japan.
