Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has hinted that the group might finish after their upcoming tour.
The group are due to play as series of European dates this summer – their first since the death of bassist Paul Gray last year.
But there is uncertainty over the band's long-term future.
Taylor has maintained that the group would use the forthcoming dates as a litmus test for future plans, while Joey Jordison said recently Slipknot would exist “with Corey or without him”.
In an interview with the US radio station WGRD Radio, Taylor said: "I’m not going to spoonfeed false hope to the fans: if this tour doesn’t work, the band might be over – straight up.
“And I'm not gonna lie; I'm not the guy that's going to lie to the fans.”
Slipknot's summer tour dates include an appearance at the Sonisphere festival in Knebworth.
