Sir Paul McCartney is engaged to his girlfriend Nancy Shevell, it has been announced.
The former Beatle, who has been married twice before, has been dating the New York businesswoman for four years.
His spokesperson confirmed the engagement, and said: “We’re all thrilled for him.”
McCartney’s first wife, Linda, a photographer, died of cancer in 1998.
He then married Heather Mills, but the couple separated in 2006 and divorced two years later. Mills was awarded Mills 24.3 million in a divorce settlement.
Shevell and McCartney were pictured together at the MET Costume Gala in New York earlier this year.
