Lady Gaga has said that her fans help her overcome exhaustion from touring.
In an interview with V magazine, conducted by friend Sir Elton John, the singer admitted that she suffered from tiredness on the road.
But she said her fans – who she calls her Little Monster – always help pull her through, describing them as "my religion".
"At a certain point exhaustion becomes a state of being, and mentally I have to be strong and overcome it," she said.
"It's like a cloud, a fog really that hovers over me. But in a way I will never ever escape it. Art is my whole life."
She added: "The monsters are my medicine. They heal me, physically and emotionally, every night at the show. I feel God through their love. I worship little monsters. They're my religion."
Lady Gaga appears in V magazine's summer 2011 edition, which is their Asian issue. She also discusses the recent Japan earthquake and Tsunami.
