Foo Fighters Play Radio 1's Big Weekend In Carlisle

Foo Fighters headlined the first day of Radio One's Big Weekend festival in Carlisle (May 14).

The band played an 80-minute set which included some of their classic hits ‘All My Life’, ‘Hero’, ‘Times Like These’ and ‘Best Of You’.

The set also included four tracks from the band’s new album ‘Wasting Light.

Speaking to the crowd frontman Dave Grohl said: "We're only supposed to play for an hour. We have 100 songs. How's that going to work?"

Foo Fighters ended their set with their first ever single ‘This Is A Call' and a cover of Queen’s 'Tie Your Mother Down'.

The two-day free music event which kicked off yesterday (May 14) at Carlisle Airport and will be headlined by Lady Gaga, Foo Fighters, The Strokes, Tinie Tempah and My Chemical Romance.

Lady Gaga, My Chemical Romance, Olly Murs, Bruno Mars, The Wombats, Professor Green, Katy B, The Script and Taio Cruz will be appearing at the event today (15).
