Jessie J has said she is delighted to be one of a number of artists who are flying the flag for UK music abroad.
The London singer, who performed at Radio 1's Big Weekend on Saturday (May 14), said she felt like she was part of a “cool little crew”.
She told BBC Newsbeat: “It's amazing to feel like I'm being given these opportunities to take UK music around the world.
“People like Adele, Amy (Winehouse), Leona (Lewis), Florence (Welch), Ellie (Goulding) and Tinie Tempah are really setting the standard.
“I just feel like I'm part of a cool little crew that are being able to help fly the flag. It's a great, great feeling.”
Jessie J was joined by Goulding and Tempah, as well as a host of other acts – including Lady Gaga, My Chemical Romance and Bruno Mars – at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Carlisle.
