Morrissey has been slammed by his former Smiths bandmate for performing the band's tracks at Glastonbury.
The singer, who performed on the Pyramid stage on the Friday night of the festival (June 24), was criticised by former Smiths drummer Mike Joyce.
Taking to Twitter Joyce said: ''Great performance from M at Glasto but didn't like the cover versions,M was in the group...but not in the band, those tunes belong to them. The "band" were the musicians in The Smiths...Mozzer wasn't in the 'band' M was the singer/lyricist in the group."
The former Smiths star played a career spanning set amid heavy rain fall, which included the new song ‘People Are The Same Everywhere’ and Smith tracks 'This Charming Man' and 'Meat Is Murder'.
During his set Morrissey also called the conservative Prime Minister David Cameron a 'silly twit' for trying to prevent an act of parliament which prevents animals from being used in circuses.
