Shia LeBoeuf is to record a documentary around the making of Marilyn Manson's eighth studio album.
Manson has been working on a follow-up to 2009's The High End of Low for the last year, and relaunched his website to tell fans that it was nearly ready for release.
LeBeouf, who stars in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, told Live! With Regis and Kelly about his meeting with the rocker, who chose to meet the actor wearing a pink kimono.
He said: "He lives in West Hollywood above a liquor store. There's no lights in the room. And there's sort of these big metal doors and he opens the door and he's in a big pink kimono. It's sort of like a lair. No lights, so you have to use your cellphone to guide you around.
"We sat and watched movies for a while and talked about what kind of visuals he wanted on his album. Which are all really eccentric ideas."
The album will be Manson's first for fifteen years without drummer Ginger Fish, who quit the band in February, subsequently joining Rob Zombie's backing band.
Ex-Nine Inch Nails drummer Chris Vrenna has taken Fish's place.
