Tinie Tempah is set to take a traditionally Scottish approach to his performance at T In The Park by wearing a kilt.
The festival, taking place in Balado, Scotland this weekend (July 8-10), will be the second time that the Brit Award winner has worn a kilt, although he hopes that this time it will be more successful:
“I wore a kilt the first time I went to Scotland,” the Londoner said. “But it didn't go down too well.
"It seemed to backfire because people didn't get it. It didn't feel right and people were puzzled."
However at T In The Park Tinie is aiming to impress: "I'm still trying to figure the kilt out,” he explained. “I'll ask someone to help me. I am going to see if I can get another one and do it properly.”
There’s only one thing stepping in the way of Tinie’s sartorial choice: the weather.
"I can get the bag bit as well, but not if it's too windy,” he admitted. “I'd definitely not go Scotsman then."
Tinie, who will share a stage with Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and Foo Fighters over the course of the weekend, has also revealed that he will be showcasing some of his new material at the festival.
"People seem to like my music for what it is and I am going to be playing a few things from the new album over the summer,” he revealed. "We'll be trying tracks out but I can't tell you what yet."
Tinie Tempah will also play the following dates this summer, and tickets are available from Gigwise Gig Tickets:
Relentless Nass, Royal Bath Showground - 9 (July)
V Festival, Helsland Park - 19-21 (August)
Belsonic 2011, Belfast - 22.
