Adele, Elbow and Tinie Tempah have been nominated for this year's Mercury Prize.
James Blake, PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi, Metronomy have also been shortlisted for the award.
The remaining nominees are Everything Everything, Katy B, Gwilym Simcock, Ghostpoet and King Cresote & John Hopkins.
The 12 nominated acts were announced by broadcaster Lauren Laverne in London this morning. Anna Calvi and Gwilym Simcock also performed songs from their nominated debut albums.
In order to be eligible to receive a nomination, the album must have been released over the past 12 months.
Last year's Mercury Prize was won by The xx, with their hailed self-titled debut album.
The 2011 winner will be unveiled at a ceremony in London on September 6.
