Mark Ronson paid an emotional tribute to Amy Winehouse as he performed in London tonight (July 27).

The singer and producer's gig at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich turned into a celebration of the singer's life following her sudden death at the weekend.

The 27-year-old singer was found dead at her flat in Camden, North London.

Ronson, who produced Winehouse's 'Back To Black', opened and closed his performance with 'Valerie', which became a staple of the late singer's live shows.

During the closing rendition of the song, he was joined on stage by members of Winehouse's backing band and dancers, who encouraged the crowd to sing the song's lyrics back to them.

"You turned what could have been a sh*t morbid evening into a celebration," said Ronson, who like many members of his band, The Business International, was dressed in black.

Although originally billed as his own headline show, Winehouse's influence was felt throughout the concert.

As well as playing an acoustic rendition of 'Valerie', which saw him joined by the song's writer Dave McCabe, Ronson couldn't resist playing other songs he had produced with the star.

During an impromptu DJ set, he teased fans with a snippet of 'Rehab' and was later joined by The Rumble Strips' Charlie Waller for a cover of 'Back To Black'.

"There is nothing that I can say but I went to her funeral yesterday and there was a Rabbi who spoke and he said somebody’s life is measured in deeds and not years, and that was the best thing I heard yesterday," Ronson said.

"The genius of that woman and what she shared with us is f*cking special and it's great that we got to hear it. It was great to share that with you."

Elsewhere, Ronson performed tracks from his two studio albums, including 2010's 'Record Collection', and was joined by a host of guest stars, including Kyle Falconer of The View, Alex Greenwald, MMDR and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow.

Mark Ronson and The Business International's gig formed part of the Greenwich Summer Sessions.

The event continues over the coming four days with headline performances from Status Quo, Squeeze, The Pogues and Songs In The Key Of London.

Ronson's setlist was:

‘Valerie’
‘The Bike’
‘Song’
‘Loose It’
‘Just’
‘Oh My God’
‘Ooh Wee’
‘The Last Night’
‘California’
‘Rehab’
‘Animal’
‘You Gave/ Stop Me’
‘Somebody To Love Me’
‘Bang, Bang, Bang’
‘Back To Black’
‘Valerie’
