Kings Of Leon's insurance company could be forced to pay out up to $15million in claims over their cancelled US tour, it's been reported.
The US rock group axed their current jaunt earlier this week so frontman Caleb Followill can overcome voice problems and exhaustion.
The Insurance Insider reports that Kings Of Leon's insurers Lloyds Of London are expected to face claims from venues and others who have lost out on money from the tour.
Meanwhile, Dennis Arfa, who is the agent for Billy Joel, Metallica and Rod Stewart, said he was sceptical over the reasons given for the band's cancellation.
"Well, I mean, it tells me stuff is goin' on. Something's not right, obviously," he told Rolling Stone.
"Exhaustion is a label. It doesn't tell you the detail – just says 'exhaustion.' Exhaustion usually means you have issues going on beyond just being physically tired. It's a convenient label."
US gossip magazine Us Weekly has claimed that Followill's bandmates and family members have urged him to seek treatment for an alleged drink problem.
Speaking about the cancellation, Followill said: “I'm just trying to get better,” adding that his voice was “pretty messed up”.
Kings Of Leon cancelled a total of 28 dates, including the recently rescheduled Dallas gig and another in Houston.
