Leona Lewis has criticised the spate of rioting and looting that has taken place across parts of London in recent days.
The violence started in Tottenham on Saturday night (August 6), with shops looted and set on fire, and spread last night (7) to Brixton.
There has also been clashes with police in Enfield amid concern that the worst of the rioting might not be over.
On Twitter, Lewis, said: “So upset by the riots last night. So close to my home and people's homes and small businesses trashed for the wrong reason. It's so wrong!
“I'm all for peaceful protests but dragging innocent people into violence is just wrong.”
Morrissey also spoke about the riots during his performance at the Brixton Academy last night.
Meanwhile, Lewis is facing high court action over her new single 'Collide', which could threaten the song's release.
