Simon Cowell Reveals Truth Behind Cheryl Cole X Factor USA Sacking

Simon Cowell has revealed the truth behind Cheryl Cole's sacking as judge on X Factor USA.

The Girls Aloud star was sacked from the programme back in May reportedly amid concerns from US TV bosses over her Newcastle accent.

The music mogul has now admitted that he did offer the singer he job back as judge on the UK X factor panel, saying Cole would be ''more comfortable doing the UK show than the American show."

''After two cities, I offered her the job back in the UK, which initially she accepted. And then unfortunately when it went public the negotiations fell apart, Cowell told Radaronline.

He added that he then offered her the job back in the USA: "For certain reasons, [she] decided not to.  And that's why it ended up the way it is.''

Cowell is one of the other X Factor judges along with Paula Abdul and LA Reid. The programme is due to begin in August.
