Members of Kaiser Chiefs have taken part in the public operation to clean-up the streets of London following the latest riots.
Singer Ricky Wilson and bassist Simon Rix joined members of the public in Camden before travelling down to Clapham today (August 9).
On Twitter, Wilson said: “Camden Chalk Farm. Me and @curlywand will there in a bit with our brooms. Get to one near you today if you're about.”
After moving down to Clapham, he wrote: “In a 'Handy Mob' on the train. We're all armed with brooms. Least threatening mob ever. One girl has a jay cloth.
“Can't really do that much. It's all still crime scene at the mo. Seen Matt Baker from Blue Peter though. Result.”
Members of the public have been galvanised into action in the wake of last night's riots, which saw disruption in boroughs across the capital.
Rioting and looting also spread to cities across the UK last night, where similar clean up operations are in place.
