Lady Gaga has recorded vocals for a special guest appearance on The Simpsons.
The episode, Lisa Goes Gaga, sees Lady Gaga arrive in Springfield after discovering that the town has become riddled with low self-esteem.
She then tries to cheer up Lisa Simpson using the power of speech, song and a flash mob.
Lady Gaga told Entertainment Weekly that recording her vocals this week was “a little nerve-wracking”.
“I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor,” she said.
“That’s what I was trying to focus on, not putting on a character too much and really being as sincere as I could with the lines.”
Lady Gaga added that the experience had been “one of the coolest things I’ve ever done” and that her dad will “probably going to do 80 backflips when the episode comes out”.
Lisa Goes Gaga is due to be shown in Spring 2012 as part of the hugely successful TV show's 23rd series.
