Beyonce Announces She's Pregnant At MTV VMAs 2011 - Video

Beyonce announced she was pregnant at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in Los Angeles last night (August 28).

The singer, who is married to Jay-Z, debuted her growing bump on the red carpet, telling reporters: “I have a surprise.”

The singer then went on to perform her album track ‘Love On Top’, which she introduced by telling the crowd: “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me.”

At the end of her performance, Beyonce unbuttoned her jacket to reveal her bump, much to the delight of Jay-Z who was sitting in the audience alongside Kanye West and Lady Gaga, who was dressed as a man.

Beyonce and Jay-Z married during a private ceremony in 2008.

The singer had earlier this year hinted about her desires to have a baby during an interview with Piers Morgan.

“I always said I was going to have a baby at 30. I'm 29 now,” she told the talk show host.

“But I also said I was going to retire at 30. So I don't know,” she continued, adding: “I am not retiring, I tell you.”
