Beyonce, Cee-Lo Green, Smokey Robinson Perform At Michael Jackson Tribute Concert

Beyonce, Ce-Lo Green and Smokey Robinson were among a host of musicians that performed at a special tribute concert to Michael Jackson in Cardiff last night (October 8).

Members of the Jackson family also turned out at the Millennium Stadium to pay tribute to Jackson, who died in 2009 at the age of 50.

Beyonce's pre-taped performance of 'I Wanna Be Where You Are' was introduced by Jackson's three children Prince, Blanket and Paris who all wore outfits reflecting different periods of Jackson's career, reports BBC News.

Sister La Toya Jackson, who came out of retirement to perform at the 'Michael Forver' show, told the audience: "I have put musical performance behind me for roughly two decades," she said. "But there will never be another magical moment such as this to celebrate Michael with his fans to perpetuate the importance of his legacy.

''I am honoured to share the stage with the incredible performers in this line-up, and I'm certain nothing would make my brother smile bigger or brighter than this tribute concert.''

JLS, Gladys Knight, Craig David, Leona Lewis also performed at the event.

The gig has been besieged by setbacks, the most recent of which being Black Eyed Peas' decision to drop out earlier this week.
