Justin Timberlake is being hotly tipped for a starring role in the Coen Brothers' new movie, according to reports.
Singer-turned-actor Timberlake is the latest big-name star to be linked to Inside Llewyn Davis, which is set against the backdrop of New York's folk music scene in the early 1960s.
Drive's Oscar Isaac has already signed on to play the eponymous herom with Carey Mulligan recently being linked to the female lead.
Collider reports that Timberlake would play Mulligan's husband, who is also a musician.
Timberlake is rapidly becoming one of Hollywood's most bankable stars, having proved his acting mettle starring as Napster founder Sean Parker in The Social Network, as well as performing with credit opposite Mila Kunis in Friends with Benefits.
Inside Llewyn Davis is scheduled for release in 2013.
