Marina & The Diamonds and Emeli Sande have been announced as the support acts for Coldplay's forthcoming European tour.

The band will play three dates in the UK next month as part of a wider-reaching European jaunt in the run-up to Christmas.

The UK leg kicks off at Glasgow's SECC on December 3, before arriving at Manchester's MEN Arena on December 4 and London's O2 Arena on December 9.

The tour will be the band's first following the release of their new album 'Mylo Xyloto', which is out next month.

The other dates will take place at venues in France, Germany, Holland and Belgium.
