When a major emergency hits, whether it’s an earthquake in Haiti or floods in Pakistan, bands and musicians come to ActionAid by the dozen and ask ‘what can we do to help?’

In response to this, the charity is setting up ActionAid Live, a nationwide network of bands, musicians, promoters and venues primed to spring into action the next time a humanitarian emergency strikes in one of the world’s most vulnerable areas.

The bands and promoters will be ready to put on a fundraising gig – or tag an existing gig they’re already involved with – to support the humanitarian response during the next big emergency, creating a UK-wide network of shows united to raise money and save lives.

Gigwise is proud to partner ActionAid Live and has teamed up with bands including Everything Everything and Chapel to help raise awareness.

Bands and promoters can register at www.actionaid.org.uk
